Christmas TIME!!!

So, last weekend we had our ward Christmas party. It was pretty fun, and Hallee had her first experience with Santa, and she didn't cry!!! She looked very shocked and didn't really know what was going on...but she didn't cry!

It was a pretty fun party and it was a great way to get into the true spirit of Christmas. We also had a big enrichment brunch, and that was also fun and it brought a great spirit and helped me to realize even more why we celebrate Christmas. This season has already been so wonderful and it will just keep getting better when we can see family.

Right now we are playing the terrible waiting game with Valerie and her baby. She is due on the 28th, we think it will happen any moment. So, we wait.

Kyle has finals all this week, and he is still working, so I think I have seen him a total of 3 hours in the last 4 days.....NOT COOL!!! At least we will have 2 weeks off to enjoy. Anyway, that is the latest with us

Thanks giving

This post is my expression of a few of the things I am thankful for.
My loving husband
my beautiful daughter
my family
my in-laws
my kitchen
my ward
my calling
my friends
warmth
good health
my savior
my home

They are in no particular order, but these are the things I am most thankful for I think. I am just really grateful for everything in my life right now. Thanksgiving really helps me to realize the problems in life are so minimal compared to the blessings and joys.

4 Month shots

We went to the doctor last week, and Hallee got her 4 month shots.

She handled them reasonably well, and she bruised from one of them on her thigh. She is now 25 inches, weighs 14 lbs 11 oz, and is 75th % in height and weight, and 85% in size of her head. She is doing really well and growing up too fast. The doctor recommended we start her on solids now, but I am sort of nervous. Nursing is just way too easy. We are also excited about halloween, and we decided to do a Winnie the Pooh thing. Hallee is going to be a hunny pot, Kyle will be Winnie the pooh, and I will be a bumble bee. We are pretty excited, since this will be the first really good halloween for us. And, Hallee is gonna look so adorable. Anyway, that's the latest.

More Pictures

So, I didn't know Kyle was doing this, but he put up a lot more pics on this Mac website, so if you want to see more from the life of the Payne's, go check those out. The website is

As you can see, we had a busy summer. We are happy to be in a home and settled. Still haven't taken pics of it yet...when we do, you will see them. We are doing well though. Kyle is gone a lot....like, he works Monday, Friday, and Saturday nights, and has a Wednesday night class, so basically I see him 3 nights a week. So, that's not so fun, but he is working really hard and doing well. We found other ways to spend time together, like early morning runs and lunches together. I am slowly losing the baby weight....Hallee is great. She is so big, it suprises me every day. She is really happy and fun, and she "talks" all the time now. She sleeps really good too, and is finally on a semi schedule. As for me, I am just a mom, doing the mom thing, trying to find hobbies that I enjoy. So, that's the latest. Nothing too exciting.

Yay I am posting!

Well, we finally have internet here at our new home. whew! I will post pics of the awesome new townhouse when we get pics. We have been doing great though. Moving in was quite a treat.....or not really. We still have a few things to put away, but it's mostly all put together. It is a beautiful two story townhouse with wood floors and 1 1/2 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms. It is really nice, and we are in a great area with a great ward. Anyway, Hallee is doing well and growing every day. She is smiling at herself in the mirror, grabbing things and bringing them to her mouth, she only likes to lick them though and she holds her head up like the best of them. She is a really happy girl and she brings so much joy to our lives. Kyle has started again with school and work, and he really likes all his classes, which makes it alot easier. He still works for OIT and Red Robin. So, all in all, we are back in the swing of things. It is fun having Valerie living with us, despite the problems she is going through right now. The father of the baby has hired an attourney to try to keep the baby, and doesn't want to give it up for adoption, and Val doesn't want him to be the primary caregiver because of his ways. So, the ultimate goal is to put the baby up for adoption. Anyway, life is good and we are happy and healthy. That's about it, here's some great pics.
This was Hallee's first visit to the Doctor
Cute car rider. Always sleeping.
Anwen and Hallee, soooo cute

Our little angel

She is so adorable. We can't get enough of her. Here are some pics.

First bath.......fun times!

Father's day!!!

4 generations of women in the family!
Everything has gone really well so far. Hallee is a really good baby, which has made the adjustment to parenthood a lot easier than we expected. She is a big baby, very healthy, and very beautiful. She did get baby acne this week. She will be 3 weeks old on Tuesday. Life around here has been pretty good, with a beautiful little life to add some extra smiles, laughs, and joy to everyone here at home. Grandma and grandpa are definitely enjoying this time, and are gonna hate to see us go. We are actually going to New York for 10 days this month, visiting DC, NYC, and Palmyra, because Kyle's brother just got home from his mission in DC. Then, we go to bless the baby in August, and the following week we will be moving back to Utah. I can't believe we are going back already. Time flies when you're having fun!

Baby baby

So, pretty much my life right now is doing nothing all the time whilst waiting for the baby to come. We had an interesting week, however. Sunday, I had 3-5 min apart contractions for 10 hours, so they said to come in to the hospital to be checked. I go in, and no dilation. They had me stay the night, gave me a drug to sleep (holy cow it was powerful), and the next morning checked me out to see if I dilated more, but to no avail. So, since Sunday I have had fairly regular contractions, but they aren't strong enough to be real labor. They said I am in pregenital labor, whatever that means. We had an appointment yesterday and the doctor said that I was exactly the same, 1 cm dilated and 70% effaced, like i was 2 weeks ago, and that I was on track to go past my due date. So...I am just trying to rest and relax all the time, and Kyle works nights mostly, so we hang out during the days, and hopefully sometime in the next week or so there will be a new baby in the house. That's the latest.

Dumb waiting game

So...last Friday for about 3 1/2 hours I had false labor...contractions every 3-5 minutes the whole time, but they weren't strong or terribly painful, which was confusing. So, I called the doctor and he said to take 2 tylenol and try to go to sleep. So, I did, and contractions stopped and have just been normal since then.
Then today, at our appointment, the doctor said her head was down where it needs to be, but there was no progress from last week as far as dilation and all that. So....we wait...and wait.

Look guys, we finally did it!

Hey everyone,
So, we finally decided to create our own blog, because it's true, you don't really update people on your life when you are on myspace. We are still trying to figure out this site and how to put up pics and things like that, but at least it's a start.
Here is the latest with us....we moved to San Antonio the beginning of May, so that we could save money this summer, pay less bills, things like that. Mom has breast cancer and she will be going through chemo all summer, but considering the circumstances, she is doing really well and handling it better than I ever could.
Kyle started working at Red Robin last week down here in San Antonio. So far, it hasn't been as busy as it was in Provo, but hopefully it will pick up and tips will get better. Besides that he has kept busy writing songs on the guitar and reading Harry Potter books to me and the baby.
As far as the baby goes, we had an appointment today, I am 37 weeks, and they said I am 70% effaced and about a fingertip dilated. They think she's about 6 pounds right now. So, we are just waiting until she is ready to come!

So, there it is. Be looking forward to more from the almost Payne padres.
