Silly silly

Some of my favorite things Hallee is saying lately:

"Five minutes mommy."  (as if she even knows what that means.)

To Maddie: "You stinker, Maddie, you stinker." (about 5 octaves higher than normal) -might also be what we say to the girls when they do something mischievious/silly.

"Hm....let's see." 

"I'm fasting!" (which means, I'm running fast!)

My all time favorite:  "I love you soooo much." (emphasis on the "soooo much".) 

So writing it all down, it doesn't sound as cute, so imagine it coming from a little toddler with a somewhat high pitch voice.  :)

Visit from A & A and fam

Finally....

Sorry, it's been a long time...so much has happened, and I only have 20 minutes to get it all down....so we will see how this goes. So...on our trip to philly we had lots of fun with Brad, Celeste, Brooklyn, and Hunter, and of course grandma and grandpa. We went to this Clvii War re-enactment site that had lots of fun little displays and animals and things. We also got some great home-made ice cream at this shop close by, and we ate LOTS of dunkin donuts since those don't exist out here, and we got to see baby Hunter be blessed. It was a really fun and it was fun to watch the girls (Hallee and Brooklyn) play together and have fun. We also had a little birthday party for the girls from grandma and grandpa since they wont see them on their bdays. Then, we got back, had a nice little week, then Adam and Annjilla came to visit for the weekend, a quick little trip. It was great seeing them and how much their kids have grown and also to see Hallee and Anwen play together. So fun! Hallee really loves to play with other kids. I don't get her out of the house enough....but I am trying. Anyway, then it was Mother's day, a semi-relaxing day since I still have to be there with the girls alone while Kyle is up on the stand at church, and we had Colt and Lucy come over for dinner since they were moving to Idaho the next day, but it was still a nice day! :) Then, Kyle got a new job.............
It is really random how he got it, but it's this candle factory place that does the exact same thing as scentsy and they sell it to Wal-Mart...so they make it, box it up, and drive it to wal-marts all over Utah. Here is the tricky part....Kyle works that job Mon-Fri from 7 am to 3:30 pm then a couple times a week he works from 4 or 5 until close at Red Robin (anywhere from 10:30 to midnight) Let's just say those days are LONG and rough. But maybe I'm just spoiled from having him home a lot more. Anyway, we needed the extra money since he stopped working at BYU so I can't really complain that much. I should also be grateful that he is willing to work 2 jobs so I can stay home with the girls. So...that's about it for us. Hallee will be 2 in less than a month. Maddie is almost 6 months. We got a season pass to seven peaks, so we will be nice and tan and partied out by the time we go to Philly. Oh, baby is crying.....I'll post pictures when I have another 20 minutes free.... :)

Philly Cheesesteaks, in Philly!

Yesterday we went to Philadelphia to get to know Temple and the surrounding areas so that we will know where to live when we move out.  First we stopped at a place down on Market St. called Campos.  That area of downtown was amazing.  It is called Old City and it is very historically preserved so it has a cool feeling to it.  I was ready to lease an apartment right there!  Anyways Campos was supposed to have amazing cheesesteaks so we stopped there.

The cheesesteaks were good but nothing better than what we have had outside of Philly.  However, they did have some rootbeer, Hanks, that is brewed in Philadelphia and that was mmmmm mmmmm delicioso!

After eating we drove over to Temple.  We were trying to find a place to park downtown by the campus so I was driving slowly and looking on both sides when I got yelled at by a cop directing traffic.  "Come-on buddy!  Drive!  Go!  Go!  I'm not just doing this for my exercise!"  I smiled and drove on by.  Temple has an awesome campus, not as scary as I thought it would be.  We went to the admissions office and spoke with the director of admissions who gave us some great ideas on suburbs to live in with at most a 30 minute train ride into campus.

After getting to know Temple we drove out to the suburbs and loved it!  Megan said that these were the most gorgeous neighborhoods she had ever seen.  They were covered with old trees, basically living in a forest and the homes were old but beautiful.  The above picture is of a house that we saw a "For Rent" sign out in front.  The neighborhoods we were in were definitely out of our price range but some of them were renting out part of the home (like the basement).

This is a picture of one of the roads we drove down.  Lots of trees.  Below is a picture of one of the homes.  It wasn't the most grand of the ones we saw but it was a good representation of the lots and homes we were driving around.  All in all we found that the suburbs of Philly are amazing and the downtown is not scary but actually very nice (at least during the daytime).
