That's when I decided I will do it. I downloaded this app called C25K (Couch to 5k), and it is amazing! It basically get's you to go from the couch and no running at all, to running a 5k in 9 weeks time. There is a 5 minute warm up and cool down, and 20 minutes of running/walking. The best part about it is that there is just a voice that comes on that says, "Walk." And then he says, "Run," when it's time to run. It's so simple, yet it is exactly what I need. I have already seen a HUGE improvement in my endurance and breathing. It has also affected the rest of my life too. I have more energy to do other things and my appetite-inhibitors are a lot stronger, so I don't snack as often. I haven't lost any pounds yet, but I know I will get there.
I don't think I can explain it in words how big of a deal this is for me. It's just one of those things that I thought to myself I could never do. And here I am doing it. And kind of enjoying it.

That's awesome Megan! Good for you! This makes me want to try it. I feel the same way about running.
Cool! I have exercise-induced asthma too, but I ran cross country anyway, and it actually helped it a lot. Mmm endorphins... I need to get re-addicted.
way to go! i'm not much of a runner either, i'll have to look into the program, keep it up!
Way to go! Just wait you will love it so much that you will want to do a half marathon. And believe me, those are super fun!
I just found out about that program yesterday and I'm starting tomorrow! Way to go!
I've heard about the program but never knew anyone who actually tried it out. Good for you! Running is the absolute bane of my existence, so I never ever ever do it. Everyone else seems like they LOVE running and I'm a little jealous of that (but obviously, not enough to actually start trying to love it). I'll be looking forward to your running adventure updates from now on (and I'll read them from my couch, probably whilst eating a ginormous cupcake). ;) Miss you guys!
Running rocks, you d be surprise what you body can do. I will recommend spinning, low impact and burning cal crazy. The more you change routines the less you body hits plateau and you get results quickly.
The reality is that the more you work out the better eater you d became. Good luck guapa.
That is so cool! I will have to give it a try! I always need a kick in the pants to get me running!
I wish I had known you were starting this! I am wanting to start the same program, but I'm finding it hard to start on my own. But if you can do it, so can I! Isn't it great we live in a day and age where we can have a little device to tell us when to start and stop??
I love running. I've enjoyed it in the past and even got up to running 3 miles comfortably. If I could just get over feeling nervous/embarrassed to run outside, we'd be good. I even got a jogging stroller so I can take Amelia!
