Waiting game
I seem to do the waiting game often. Waiting. waiting. waiting. Still waiting to hear from 3 more law schools. Getting ancy. Mostly because if we are staying here, we need to start looking for a place to live, here. AND....we have mice. On our countertops in the kitchen. So incredibly disgusting. Makes me want to vomit and never cook in my kitchen. I want to move out today. But then where would we go? We still have a month. blah. Let's just throw in the fact that I am 6 1/2 months pregnant. By the time we move, I will be 8 weeks away from having the baby. There's the whole packing, unpacking, moving, cleaning, decorating, setting up a place for the baby to sleep, getting things we need, like diapers etc. Oh yeah, and on top of it all, I am primary president. Lots of resposibilities and stress and work (and fun!). Very unsettling. But I know the Lord is on my side, and he will bless us and guide us. It's just a little scary. So......

big hug megan! i'm so sorry to hear about the mice. if you do stay here (which i hope you do) might i recommend henry on the park, we'd love to have you as neighbors!
Megan you are amazing!
Wishing you luck! And... tip for the mice. I came back from a week long vacation and found mice in the house. First, I freaked out. Then I bought traps. Then I trapped 6 mice in 4 days. Ew! Then, I took preventive measures: soak cotton balls in peppermint oil (expensive, but worth it, natural, non-toxic, and it reallly works!) and fold them up in tin foil (so the mice won't get to them) and drop the little packets in your cupboards, behind couches, in silverware drawers, everywhere! It's a natural repellent!
Hey thanks for the advice Natalie! We have had this exterminator come out and it's been a few days and we haven't caught anything yet. And they keep pooping on the counters! We will try it!
Ugh I've done mice, and I've never found a way to get them out. But thankfully, they left every summer. Good luck. AND You'll make a great primary prez. You'll get the hang of it in no time and ball your eyes out over leaving those kids when you actually do have to move, trust me! And...speaking of that, you know...move here. ;) It wouldn't be a Leah comment if I didn't say it.
If we were closer I'd give you all the moving boxes you need.
Well at least you won't be living with mice anymore. Have fun in California & we hope you will hear from schools soon!
